Alberta tar sands: water
When I was nineteen I spent the summer hiking in the Canadian Rockies. I walked on the Columbia Icefield where the Athabasca river begins. Since that time this great canadian river has held mythical status in my mind. The Athabasca had resonance, depth and soul. It was a special place.
